Upgrading of the AIT International School Canteen

Donation Pledge for Upgrading of the AIT International School Canteen

On behalf of Asian Institute of Technology AIT International School (AITIS), we would like to

express our warm wishes to you and your family and hope they are in the best of health.

The Asian Institute of Technology International School (AITIS) has a canteen structure

which can hold about 150 students. The structure is presently on an area of 238m2 (17m by

14m). It is an open structure that requires constant renovations especially during the rainy

season. This was built in 2003 and it has undergone extensions depending on the growth in

    student numbers.

We are pleased to inform you that AITIS plans to upgrade the canteen with standard facilities that

will benefit the current and future students for their convenience while using the canteen. Our

improvement plan includes: increase the size of the canteen to accommodate 200 students,

install air conditioning, fans, better furniture and fixtures.

Names /logo of the company will be displayed on the wall at the entrance of the

canteen. This will refurbish the old section and cover the extension of the canteen, roofing the

entire structure. The entire building will be re-painted with new flooring and air

conditioning. The naming will be for the life span of the building.

Donation Pledge for Scholarships, Lab Equipment and Campus Facilities

    GTE lab campaign

GTE & GEPG Laboratory Facilities Campaign
Support the upgrade of AIT's vital Geotechnical laboratories—empowering both teaching and industry with modern equipment.

      About the Laboratories
The GTE and GEPG laboratory facilities were established at the Asian Institute of Technology in 1973. The laboratory currently consists of the following five testing fields:

      • Soil Testing
      • Rock Testing
      • Aggregate Testing
      • Geosynthetics Testing
      • Field Testing

In addition to regular laboratory testing services for the industry, faculty and students regularly use the laboratory facilities and equipment to carry out experiments related to teaching and research activities.

Challenge: The majority of the testing devices are over four decades old and are getting outdated. Some were damaged due to the 2011 flood. There is a strong need to upgrade these facilities to continue our mission.

      Goal:
To provide support for relevant teaching/research activities at an international level and to provide reliable and professional laboratory testing services to the industry.
